The Chilean Journal of Law and Political Science is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Angie Silva Major as the new Editor in Chief of the publication. She is a member of the Department of Legal Sciences at Universidad Católica de Temuco and will lead the journal through this new stage of institutional development.
Her appointment is an important step towards strengthening the scientific and editorial management of the journal, as well as towards meeting the coming challenges related to its consolidation, quality, visibility and impact at both the national and international levels. The Chilean Journal of Law and Political Science wishes Dr. Angie Silva Major every success in carrying out her new duties and in leading the editorial processes.
Dr. Lihuen Nocetto will likewise continue to take part in the governance of the journal as Co-Editor of the Political Science section, a role he has held in recent years and from which he has contributed significantly to the strengthening and development of this area of the publication.
As part of the continuity of the work carried out in recent years, Dr. Isnel Martínez Montenegro, who served as Editor in Chief of the journal for four years, has been invited to remain part of the team as Associate Editor. The standing and consolidation the publication enjoys today are undoubtedly the result of his excellent management, editorial commitment and distinguished academic career in Latin America.
With this new editorial governance structure, the journal seeks to ensure the continuity of the work accomplished, to incorporate new perspectives and to strengthen its commitment to academic excellence, scientific rigour, interdisciplinarity and the dissemination of specialised knowledge in Law and Political Science.
