Abstract

This work corresponds to a literature synthesis that works towards the description of the main features of three of the most used methods in the analysis of plant leaf. For this reason, studies related the topics discussed were analyzed, from which the main results and discussing the advantages of using each extracted. The methods presented here correspond to the critical values method (VC), DRIS (diagnosis and recommendation integrated system) method, and method by vector analysis. The main findings indicate that the three methods generally can address the different conditions under which natural and exotic forests growing commercial interest, no highlighting any method over another, yet each has its advantages depending on the species treated and site. This allows its recommendation based on characteristics of the analyzed species and site conditions in whichforest species grow and develop
