Abstract

Within the order Coleoptera, Coccinellidae is the family, which includes small predatory insects commonly known as ladybugs or ladybirds. In Chile there are 5 subfamilies, with about 115 species, which are distributed throughout the country.The network of traps the vigilance of Service Agricultural and Livestock (SAG), in the metropolitan region includes specific synthetic pheromone traps and yellow sticky traps of massive generic capture. Although its main objective is to detect the presence of pests, also reveals the presence of a wide biodiversity of the insect fauna of the region.Is Interesting, use this system traps for to get a vision and to account for the diversity of ladybirds present in the Metropolitan Region. That is why in this paper is delivered a list of species of ladybirds obtained in these traps, they remain installed between August 2014 and May 2015. In addition to presenting images of specimens with uncommon morphs by species.Keywords: Chile, Ladybird, Agriculture and Livestock Service, traps.
